COLORFUL SPRING 2007!
Collected Thoughts About Spring by Bobby, Lauren B., Lauren G.,
Cheyenne, Jake, Jaimee, Rebecca, Noah, Jack, Troy, Shanon, Elizabeth,
Megan, Matthew, Michelle, and Ania…256 KIDS!!!

We read
The Boy Who Didn't Believe In Spring, Lionel In The Spring, Cloudy
With A Chance Of Meatballs, The Kapok Tree, and other books about
our Earth and rain forests.
We wrote an acrostic poem called SPRINGTIME. We wrote a free verse poem
about spring and another poem about the colors of spring. We visited
the
2005 Colorful Spring Internet
Project and checked out work done by various classes. We
then put our class poem together. Enjoy! |

SPRING IS COMING! SPRING IS HERE!
NOW WE YELL OUR SPRING CHEER!
WE LOVE SPRING!!!
God's creation is starting to bloom.
The world wakes up once more.
Snow's melting.
Nice weather's all around.
April flowers bring May flowers.
See those wonderful SPRING colors!
Rainbows sparkle as they arch across the sky.
Rivers are running. Lakes, like blue crystal, are filled with fish.
The sky, with floating white, fluffy clouds, is as blue as the water.
Green are the leaves and buds on the trees.
Green is the fresh cut, lush grass.
It's as green as a Leprechaun's coat.
Brown is for the rich soil that makes our gardens grow.
Beautiful flowers begin to bloom bright with color.
God has planted love everywhere!
Tulips as red as rubies and royal purple crocuses that are so nice.
Yellow is for the sun that makes the world light up.
Sunshine brings us joy!
The sun is as yellow as downy baby chicks.
Yellow is for daffodils, dandelions, and bees.
Birds take flight and work as carpenters building nests.
Pretty birds start to sing.
Eggs are hatching, bugs are about, and butterflies start to form.
Silly squirrels jump from tree to tree.
SPRING IS COMING! SPRING IS HERE!
NOW WE YELL OUR SPRING CHEER!
WE LOVE SPRING!!!
It's time for boys and girls to play and shout HOORAY!
School's out for SPRING BREAK!
Easter Bunny brings baskets filled with chocolate candies.
Shorts and T Shirts are coming out of chests and drawers.
People are whistling and playing sports.
Major League baseball starts.
Merry children with rosy, red cheeks run and play.
Second Graders, like us, are preparing for First Communion.
It's time to receive Jesus!
People are jogging, racing around, and flying kites.
Soccer and baseball begin. The players are on the fields.
Moms teach their kids how to ride two wheelers.
Boys and Girls ride their bikes on all the paths.
Jake rides his one handed!
They blow bubbles and take fieldtrips to the zoo.
It's fun to go skate boarding too.
People work in gardens and go for walks and long hikes.
No sitting inside all day.
Moms say "NO TV, GO PLAY!"
Kids meet kids at the park and play all day.
The ice cream man's ready for business.
Kids like to run with friends.
Sometimes they chase the ice cream truck!
Everyone loves ice cream treats.
East, West, North, and South, the children go in all directions.
Kids feel joyful and say "Thank You, God, Spring is so much FUN! We're
awfully glad that it's begun!"
SPRING IS COMING! SPRING IS HERE!
NOW WE YELL OUR SPRING CHEER!
WE LOVE SPRING!!!
SO GIVE A SMILE! GIVE A CHEER!
SUMMER'S ALMOST HERE!!!
