The
wonderful illustrations, numerous and humorous details and labels in
Fanelli's "Map Book" were used to encourage the children to create a "Map of
an Apple". The first grade writer's enjoyed brainstorming a list of every
possible connection they could think of then went to work labeling and
adding details to their own "Apple Maps".
STUDENT WORK
We
will continue this writing lesson by using information from our Apple
Maps to write personal experiences about apples.
